Polokwane

Polokwane is the place where more than a half-million people have already made their homes. The city is on the N1 North and the last major town before one crosses into either Zimbabwe or Botswana. Polokwane is the capital city of Limpopo, the gateway to Africa and a 2010 host city.

Previously known as Pietersburg, Polokwane is 1 262 metres above sea level on a sprawling plain known as the Pietersburg Plateau which extends over an area of 18 000km². Topographically, the Pietersburg granite plain is part of the great inland plateau that makes up the biggest part of the subcontinent.

Polokwane365 is a year-round project to promote Polokwane in Limpopo. It is sponsored by business people in the city who wish to promote the city and all it has to offer. Every sponsor has a place on the right of every page promoting the sponsor or sponsoring business. The sponsors rotate daily, giving every sponsor the opportunity to be featured on the front page of Polokwane365. Click here if you are interested in sponsoring the site.

Our aim is to create a wide-as-possible footprint for Polokwane on the Internet, represented by information about the city, its people and businesses, photos depicting the city's beacons of pride and videos reflecting our city.

The Polokwane365 project was conceived and is managed by MyPolokwane.com a mycityinfo website. You can also find us on Facebook.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our site.
